Sally Ride is an important woman in our history. She was born on May 26, 1951 in Los Angeles, California. She is now 60 years old. She was an educator, astronaut, and physicist. She had many great accomplishments in her life.
Sally Ride became the first American women to go to space aboard the space shuttle Challenger. She has recieved the NASA Space Flight Medal and NCAA's Theodore Roosevelt Award. She is in the National Women's Hall Of Fame and the Astronaut Hall of Fame as well.
